You can't get a better product for a cardio workout, especially if you have bad knees or leg/feet problems and a treadmill could hurt the body. She has been using it now for about a month, and loves it! I read the reviews that stated the Gazelle squeaks,a the footpads break and things of that nature, but I believe that with a little Preventive Maintenance such as regreasing the pivot points occaisonally and standing in the middle of the foot pads where they are supported by the metal frame, these issues can be prevented. You can add tension and your workout will be great if you only workout in bursts of 15 minutes or so, but the longer you go the easier it gets. The tension lessens after awhile. On my old eliptical I would workout for about 45 minutes and it would be a consistant workout, but with the gazelle I usually go for about 20 or 25 minutes before it just feels pointless to continue and I move on to do situps or something ...more
