It took me about five hours. The first hour I spent removing parts from the box and checking them against the parts list. In the process I found an extra short screw, loose in the box. The only short screws on the parts list were inside the pre-assembled frame, so I was forced to remove the side shields to ensure that the extra screw had not come loose from inside. I'd be surprised if anyone who hasn't been excercising regularly can do more than 10 minutes on this machine. As far as durability and reliability goes, you get what you pay for. When you open the box everything is packaged very well and it honestly takes almost as long to unwrap everything and get everything out of the box as it does to assemble. It states that assembly needs two people but I was able to put it together myself without any problems. After all Men don't listen to instructions anyways right?
